Mercyhealth is seeking a Facilities Manager to work out of Mercyhealth Hospital & Medical Center-Walworth campus and oversee operations at our Walworth and McHenry County locations. Our Walworth campus is located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and is conveniently situated between Milwaukee and Madison, WI and is also a short commute from our main hospital, Mercyhealth Hospital & Trauma Center-Janesville.
Our Facilities Manager position oversees the operations associated with maintaining the facilities, grounds, and equipment at our Walworth campus as well as actively participating in the process and project management of special facilities management requests. In addition, our Facilities Manager supports service supervisors, technicians, and mechanics to meet the needs of a designated site or facility, and also works to assure proper regulatory compliance with CMS, TJC, DHS, IDPH, and other organizations and authorities.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Inspecting facilities and equipment to determine the need of service, equipment, and overall degree of maintenance or updating.
Assigning Facilities team members to duties such as maintenance, repairs, or renovations or obtaining bids from outside contractors.
Purchases building and maintenance supplies, machinery, equipment, and furnishing as required.
Prepares departmental budgets and monitors expenditures throughout the fiscal year.
Assembles and reviews contract bids, and submits bids and recommendations to leadership for action.
Participates on various committees and internal organizations.
Manages contracts for cleaning, security, and grounds as necessary.
