The Project Director will be responsible for leading and facilitating the development and completion of Holy Cross Health capital projects. The Project Director is accountable for all facets of capital project management including planning, design procurement, project budget and schedule management, monitoring compliance and reporting, as well as all key coordination of services to ensure construction projects achieve expectations and completed on schedule and on budget. Responsible for implementing comprehensive processes that align with Trinity Health Capital Project Management policies, procedures, standards and practices. Functions as subject matter expert on contract pricing, cost analysis, project phasing and scheduling. Supports the development of annual and long range facility plans in conjunctions with a multidisciplinary team to support and advance clinical and operational needs of Holy Cross Health. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.
Bachelors' Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience. Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration and or Business Administration preferred.
Minimum of eight (8) years progressive experience in planning and managing large scale, multi-million dollar construction projects required.
Must possess proven track record of successful management of multi-million dollar acute and ambulatory healthcare construction projects.
Strong familiarity with Standard Agreement templates as published by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) covering all facets of capital project management.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Outstanding leadership ability capable of engaging and motivating a team with a broad range of experiences and backgrounds to accomplish project objectives and arrive at solutions to complex issues.
Experience developing and managing a comprehensive capital planning process so projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Highly effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated contract negotiation experience with architects, construction managers and other consultants and contractors.
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed. Ability to gather information, evaluate and make decisions.
