Nicklaus Children's Hospital, part of Nicklaus Children's Health System, is Florida's pediatric care leader. The 309-bed pediatric Magent certfified hospital and its network of pediatric outpatient centers offering comprehensive care for children of the region and beyond, is seeking an experienced Facilities Director. This leadership role oversees and directs departmental activities to ensure quality services for both internal and external customers. Serves as a resource to and collaborates with others to advance the hospital mission. Plans, programs, and directs all facilities management services including capital construction and renovation projects, repairs and maintenance of all utility systems, buildings and grounds infrastructure upgrades, prepares long-range facilities master plan information. Directs facility planning, design, and selected construction process; and arranges for the preparation and presentation of materials and information concerning capital projects. Ensures facilities comply with licensure and regulatory requirements. Responsible for the talent and culture of the Facilities team, promoting collaboration and transparency.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related fields or equivalent experience.
7 years of experience in healthcare facilities or plant operations.
A minimum of five years of supervisory/management experience.
Experience related to codes and requirements of regulatory and accreditation agencies.
Experience with engineering and maintenance of physical plant and grounds, contract maintenance, construction coordination, and safety programs.
Experience with overseeing Life Safety Program for the organization.
Analytical experience to prepare & administer budgets and evaluate current methods of delivering service.
Valid driver's license in the state of Florida.
Management experience in operating and capital budget planning.
