Assistant Vice President: Facilities, Planning, Design, and Construction
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the direction and oversight of the Planning, Design & Construction and Facilities Management departments. Responsible for numerous operating budgets and project budgets in excess of $100M. Collaborates with Senior Administration & Physician Leadership to conceptualize, design, and construct a wide range of renovation and new construction on behalf of the organization. Leads the construction and maintenance on a campus of over 3 million square feet. Provides consultative services throughout the West Virginia United Health System as an expert resource to contribute hospital design and construction information. Acts as a resource to all System entities regarding healthcare construction standard(s), code regulatory compliance, space planning, and property acquisitions.
Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or other related field AND Five (5) years progressive management experience in Healthcare Planning, Design, and Construction AND Five (5) years relevant experience in healthcare construction, demonstrated by professional portfolio OR;
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or other related field AND Seven (7) years progressive management experience in Healthcare Planning, Design, and Construction AND Seven (7) years relevant experience in healthcare construction, demonstrated by professional portfolio.
