The Director of Engineering manages the health system's Plant Engineering, Security, Environment of Care, Emergency Preparedness, Project Management and Bio-Medical Engineering Departments.
BA/BS Degree with a major in a related field of engineering, architecture or one of the physical sciences preferred with a master's level education desired. Current healthcare related experience required. In lieu of a formal degree, candidates with extensive field experience and a proven track record of accomplishments will be considered. Certified Health Facilities Manager as recognized by the AHA preferred. Must also possess and maintain a current an valid driver's license and be insurable under SVHC's vehicle insurance policy.
Qualified candidate must have excellent communication skills, ability to work across the organization, understanding both clinical and non clinical needs; must have a strong understanding of healthcare, finance/budgeting, strategic planning and project management.
