Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of architectural and engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through design teams.

Direct the work of multi-discipline teams comprised of architects, engineers, and designers.
Maintains a system of detailed knowledge of the status of all on-going projects under their management.
Assists with the fee proposal process.
Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned projects, monitoring project costs, deadlines, and change orders.
Conducts internal kickoff meetings for each project with assigned personnel to negotiate and agree on schedule and budget.
Monitors and distributes both internal and external project communications.
Coordinates staffing with department managers.
Provides technical input for projects and may serve as the Architect or Engineer of record on some projects.
Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.
Actively conducts cross-discipline coordination for each stage of the project.
Oversees project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical research, project design, preparation of specifications and technical plans.
Reviews designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
Meeting deadlines, removing obstacles, and conducting design team meetings.
Conduct design reviews and QA/QC analysis for each phase of the project. Compiles and publishes the results of each review
Preparation of specifications, submission sets, meeting notes, and progress reporting.
Interface with clients, sub-contractors, external firms, and contractors to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met.
Schedules, conducts, and participates in site visits.
Leads all the construction administration activities, including RFI’s and Submittal review.
Reviews and approve all incoming invoices relating to project.
Create and monitor project invoicing.

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or Construction and four to eight years’ experience or greater than ten years of construction management experience in all aspects of building planning, design, and construction required. Familiarity with building codes, design principles, and the permitting process.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, and legal documents. Respond to inquiries or complaints from clients, employees and contractors. Write articles for publication and manage communications between contractors, sub-contractors and clients.
Comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, algebra and advanced statistical theory. Work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.
Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations). Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
