A prominent and successful regional urban healthcare system in New Jersey, recognized as one of the area’s most respected providers, is seeking a VP, Facilities. Reporting to the SVP and COO, this VP is an integral member of the senior leadership team and has broad operational responsibility as well as construction/project management for all capital projects.
This Vice President, Facilities directs the overall design, construction, operation, development and upkeep of all facilities. He/she anticipates, assesses, researches and identifies organization wide capital, renovation, and maintenance needs in the context of a master facility plan and provides financial oversight of all projects. The Vice President also oversees the operations of: Food and Nutrition, Security, Environmental Services, Maintenance and Grounds, Biomedical, Emergency Preparedness and MICU.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in health care or a related field along with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible facilities leadership experience. A track record in managing complex construction and renovation projects as well as overseeing extensive real holdings will be essential. The successful candidate will also have operational experience in overseeing hospital operations and familiarity with regulatory and life safety requirements.
