The Maintenance Engineer operates and maintains the equipment and fixtures within the facility using acceptable work practices and following hospital and departmental guidelines to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment and systems within the hospital assigned in a safe, efficient manner.
Repairs and maintains various pieces of mechanical and electrical equipment following accepted practices and procedures. These systems include plumbing, controls, HVAC refrigeration and electrical/emergency power.
Responsible for maintaining integrity of computer maintenance software program
Repairs and maintains patient care equipment to provide a safe environment for patients and comply with the standards of the various regulatory agencies
Completes all initial and annual required learning relevant to the role
Complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
Contributes to a safe work environment.
High School Diploma
Five or more years of experience in operation and maintenance in commercial, industrial or institutional environmen
Graduate of an accredited trade school in refrigeration, electricity, building maintenance or other appropriate course.
