Position Information:
The Information Services Instructional Designer I is an integral part of the implementation and maintenance of specific technologies utilized throughout the WakeMed health system. Responsible for creating and managing training content including system environments, maintaining and updating the Master Training Environment; as well as the conveyance of system utilization to end users. Requires a solid understanding of adult learning theories, and the ability to apply knowledge to traditional and creative methods and mediums. Possesses the ability to learn new technologies in a dynamic environment while embracing workflow change and upgrades. Provides ongoing support to end user groups, acting as a conduit to the technology team in conveying challenges, changes, and solutions. Works with the latest technologies in healthcare, having extensive interaction with end users and decision makers, technical personnel and vendors. The Instructional Designer translates needed changes into a requirement document for the Application Analyst to modify the system and assists with testing and implementation of changes. May assist with application build changes. Provides ongoing support to end users observing workflows and providing at the elbow training supporting standard work and conveying challenges, changes and solutions for improvement to the technology team. Provides training/support as requested for organizational initiatives. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
5 Years Related Position Experience Required - With Required Education Or 3 Years Related Position Experience Required - With Preferred Education
Education Required:
Associate's Degree Related Field Required - And Bachelor's Degree Related Field Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
EPIC Certification in Area of Responsibility Required - Within 6 Months of Hire And Certified/Licensed/Registered in Field of Practice Preferred
