SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for the repair, maintenance and upgrade of the facilities refrigerated equipment including process chillers, lab equipment, HVAC, refrigerators, freezers, growth chambers, walk-in boxes, and ice machines. Responsible for scheduling and performing preventive maintenance of assigned equipment ensuring compliance to established requirements. Under the direction of the Supervisor, provide leadership and continuity for the Refrigeration Shop staff by providing scheduling, record keeping, and ensuring work is safely completed in compliance with EPA regulations. Assist the Supervisor with daily operations and oversight of the Refrigeration shop staff.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Five (5) years experience in Commercial and/or Industrial Refrigeration and mechanical trades required.
EPA Certification as a Universal Refrigeration Technician required.
Valid Driver's License required.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to operate tractors, forklifts, high lifts and other types of equipment preferred.
