Under general supervision of the Director of Facilities Management, and according to established policy and procedures, responsible for coordinating the Life Safety Management Program and providing technical expertise in all facets of compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes including NFPA 101, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, NFPA 99 and others as applicable. Provides direct supervision and signoff of reporting, repair, preventative maintenance, testing, and inspection of fire alarm, water-based suppression, and clean agent systems. Responsible for annual fire door inspection, smoke damper testing and repairs to both as shown by the testing reports. Acts as advisor and trainer to staff and management.
