SUMMARY: Oversees the general operations, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks of our 1.3 million square feet campus that consists of acute care hospital space, medical office space, and general support areas. Administrates a proportional share of the $6.0 million dollar operating budget for the campus facilities. Oversees all mechanical, electrical, and building structural systems including normal electrical power, emergency power generation systems, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, medical gas systems, fire monitoring and suppression systems, UPS systems, building automation systems, paging systems, PBX alarming systems, television reception systems, etc. Oversees the operations, maintenance, and repair of our building envelop systems, all floor, wall, and ceiling finishes, fire and smoke partitions, and all fire door and damper operations. Oversees as many as 40 employees on a daily basis regarding employee work assignments, performance reviews, and educational requirements. EXPERIENCE: 5 years supervisory experience with 10 years in general plant operations with a preference in the healthcare industry. Leadership experience desired. Project management preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: General knowledge of computers, computer logic controllers, maintenance and repair of healthcare mechanical, electrical, medical gas, and production equipment and systems, HVAC hardware and software applications, leadership skill sets, and demonstration of staff support. Project management and associated documentation. Budget and cost analysis skillsets. OTHER: Mathematical and analytical skills. Knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, cooling, steam, fire detection, and fire protection systems. Good team player skills, and positive attitude in our workplace environment, LICENSE/CERT: Preferred: Boiler Operator Class - KCMO, Refrigerant and CFC Handling Certificate EDUCATION: Preferred: Bachelors - equivalent combination of professional certification & job experience.
