Position Information:
The Biomed Engineering Tech 2 maintains medical equipment through the effective use of the department Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs medium to high level tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, inspection and operator assistance of medical equipment/systems. Records activities associated with medical devices. Demonstrates a strong knowledge of current and developing technologies for medical equipment with particular concentration around computers, software and networking related to Cyber Security threats. Utilizing critical thinking skills, consults with more experienced technicians when making decisions regarding the maintenance of unfamiliar equipment. Technician will begin to develop an affinity for an approved specialty and seek to increase depth of knowledge through on-the-job and specialized training.
Experience Requirements:
2 Years Biomedical Engineering Or Related Position Experience Required - Or 1 Year Biomedical Engineering Or Related Position Experience Required - With Preferred Education Or 4 Years Biomedical Engineering Or Related Position Experience In Lieu of Degree
Education Required:
Associate's Degree Technology Or Certificate Military Equivalent Required - Or Bachelor's Degree Biomedical Engineering Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Cisco Certified Network Administrator Preferred
