Multi-Skill Tech II (Maintenance)
Full-Time Day Shift: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
ROPER HOSPITAL | CHARLESTON, SC
Provide corrective and preventive maintenance on various equipment and systems while creating successful customer service relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other team members. Perform a variety of duties related to all maintenance disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire alarm, pneumatic tube, physical plant equipment, and carpentry.
Use extensive knowledge and troubleshooting skills to maintain equipment.
Assist other staff members with maintenance repairs and preventive maintenance procedures.
Supervise the progress of assigned jobs and projects.
We seek a Multi-Skill Tech II (Maintenance) with the following credentials:
Required
Two or more years of experience in the field of maintenance
Current, valid South Carolina drivers license within 90 days of employment
Eligibility/insurability under the Roper St. Francis Healthcare vehicle insurance plan, subject to verification by review of licensure and driving record
Ability to work with all types of hand tools and power tools
Solid knowledge of maintenance disciplines
Computer proficiency to complete assigned work orders and preventive maintenance using a maintenance software program
Preferred
High school diploma or GED equivalent within six months of hire
Experience in a healthcare field and/or environment
Healthcare DHEC, NFPA, and JTC-specific code knowledge
