SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for assigning, coordinating and inspecting the work of the HVAC shop personnel in the maintenance, repair and upgrades to the heating ventilation and air conditioning systems and their associated components. Responsible for ensuring the proper operation of air-handling equipment; exhaust fans, variable-air-volume systems, furnaces, crematories, humidifiers and air filtration equipment including the associated control systems for the equipment both digital and pneumatic.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
High School Diploma or equivalent required
A minimum of five (5) years job related experience in Residential or Industrial HVAC & Plumbing and mechanical trades required
Valid Driver's License required
Must pass a written test and hands on skills demonstration with a minimum score of 75%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
HVAC training in a Vocational/Technical school preferred
Training in electronic and pneumatic controls also is preferred
Experience in industrial HVAC, plumbing, and refrigeration preferred
Universal Refrigeration License and EPA Certification are preferred
Operation of tractors, forklifts, bucket trucks, high lifts and other types of equipment preferred
Universal Refrigeration License and EPA certification preferred
CPR certification and First Aide training preferred
