We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Associate Director of Facilities to direct the operations of our facilities throughout the FirstHealth System to create a safe and efficient work environment that improves business performance and optimizes staff productivity. Duties for the Associate Director of Facilities will include directing facilities functions, implementing policies and safety procedures, engaging with vendors and contractors, minimizing hazards, preparing facilities budgets and monitoring expenditure, testing equipment, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory rules & laws. Experience in managing previous facilities and directing facilities functions will assist our organization in minimizing disruptions to overall business operations, improving working conditions, and creating a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff.
Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering or Property Management is preferred. Two (2) years of college education, or high school plus three (3) to four (4) years apprenticeship in a highly skilled trade are required. At least 8 years Healthcare Facilities Management experience required. Must have proven knowledge of all Healthcare Facilities Regulations, Codes & Law. Strong negotiating skills a plus. Must have proven knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, CMS, Joint Commission/ DNV regulations. CHFM certification is required.
