Overview
The PI Project Manager at Beebe Healthcare plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and organizational impact. This position involves leading and executing performance improvement projects to streamline processes, reduce waste, decrease expenses, and improve patient care quality. The project manager utilizes data analytics and other methods to identify areas for improvement, track key performance indicators, and measure the impact of process changes, both within Beebe's existing Lean program and across the organization.
Collaboration is essential as the project manager works closely with healthcare professionals, department heads, and senior leadership to identify operational challenges and develop solutions. Implementing quality improvement methodologies enhances patient care, safety, and satisfaction. The project manager also drives change management initiatives for successful process improvements and organizational transformations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, efficiency, and excellence in healthcare delivery.
This role combines coaching and leadership, with the project manager mentoring colleagues while leading projects hands-on. They may provide guidance to Beebe’s Lean Green Belt and Black Belt colleagues. Reporting to Beebe’s Director of Operational Performance Improvement, this position is instrumental in driving Beebe's operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Uses data analysis, and other methods, to independently identify and proactively implement improvement opportunities
Personally contributes significant cost savings to the organization
Ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet expected quality standards
Consistently provides guidance and mentorship to Beebe’s Lean Six Sigma, project management, and performance improvement colleagues
Directs and implements Lean initiatives and strategies to optimize operational performance, productivity, and profitability by reducing or eliminating overproduction, waste, rework, delay, and process variation.
Challenges the status quo and encourages break-through thinking to ensure Lean and continuous improvement principles are implemented in a manner that supports patient centered care.
Recognizes obstacles hindering others from reaching their goals and promptly intervenes, finding resourceful solutions to remove them
Builds and sustains relationships with Beebe colleagues to advance the performance improvement goals

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred
At least 3 years of experience in Lean Six Sigma or related continuous improvement areas within a healthcare setting
Lean Six Sigma certification (e.g., green belt, black belt)
Experience in change management, stakeholder management, and influencing people without authority
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, presentation and organization skills; ability to communication with all levels of staff, management, and senior leadership
Proven ability to work in ambiguity
Highly motivated and able to take ownership and drive initiatives with minimal direction
