Assure a healthy and comfortable Hospital environment through the proper operation, control and maintenance of steam-generating equipment and other minor repairs of Hospital equipmentand or any other duties as directed to maintain compliance. RESPONSIBILITIES Manipulates valves to control the flow of water and fuel to increase or decrease steam pressure. Adjusts equipment controls to correct malfunctions when indicated by observation or in response to warning lights, horns or bells. Inspects boiler room observing the operation of equipment meters and gauges, compares findings to defined specifications. Maintains operating logs which include: fuel consumption, steam produced, blow-down time and meter readings. Records reading
