Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as Vice President of Engineering Services. This executive role provides strategic leadership and oversight of enterprise-wide engineering services, ensuring alignment with the hospital’s mission to provide exceptional pediatric care and innovation.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, the Vice President of Engineering Services will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of engineering programs and services across the organization. This includes oversight of capital planning, design and construction, infrastructure development, facilities operations, safety and security, environmental services and biomedical services. The VP will collaborate with hospital leadership, medical staff and external partners to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient and innovative engineering solutions that maintain compliance with regulatory standards and support clinical excellence and operational effectiveness.

Nationwide Children’s is in the midst of an impressive $3.3 billion strategic plan to expand programs and facilities to support a growing patient population of more 1.9 million patient visits per year. A key element of this plan is the current construction of a 14-story patient tower scheduled for completion in mid-2028. The VP will have an incredible opportunity to be part of our main campus expansion, as well as oversight of 28 regional locations including 14 primary care centers, an estimated 300+ design and construction projects annually and over 7 million square feet of facility space. 

Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years of relevant experience, a master’s degree in hospital administration, business administration or closely related field and proven leadership in systemwide facilities management, including maintenance, operations and utilities systems. They must also possess excellent project management, people management, process innovation and budgetary skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to collaborate effectively with administrative and clinical leadership and lead a dynamic team dedicated to delivering clinical excellence and operational effectiveness.
