Partners with IS networks, telecommunications, and server teams to design, implement, maintain, and enhance the audio and video systems / services to meet business requirements. You study existing configurations to identify opportunities for improvement while serving as a lead for upgrades, expansions, and decommissioning related to new construction initiatives. This role is also accountable for directing, mentoring, and leading Media Services Engineers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Prepare recommendations for audio/video strategy and acquisition of newly developed, additional or replacement systems and/or equipment based on the testing of department and organizational needs.
Engineer all aspects of broadcast audio and video equipment including the planning, building installation, maintenance, and help throughout the entire organization.
Work with IS network, telecommunications, and server admin staff to design the videoconferencing network.
Assist with problem resolution and root cause testing/reporting.
Manage day to day efforts in maintaining/troubleshooting audio and video equipment across the enterprise using test equipment/computers.
Coordinate equipment installation and maintenance of audio and video equipment with department operations to avoid disruptions in communications and operations, and to ensure the efficiency of operations.
Accountable for coordination and integration of video networks between Scott and White and other partner institutions.
Prepare activity and progress reports for projects ensuring issues are properly escalated and resolved to maintain delivery schedule, project cost, and desired results.
Provide guidance and mentoring to peers.
Train staff on administration/use of the audio and video systems.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL POSESS THE FOLLOWING
A degree in video production, graphic design, or related field is preferred.
Applicants with commensurate experience that demonstrate necessary are also considered.
Knowledge of audio/sound equipment, including operation of sound board and microphones during live events and/or meetings
Adept in video editing, graphic design, and Adobe Suite
Experience with virtual meeting platforms (Webex, MS Teams, Zoom)
Working knowledge of WordPress
Knowledge of technical stage lighting and light computer programs
Ability to troubleshoot problems in all technical areas during meetings/events, including video, audio or lighting issues
Commitment and ability to work in and contribute to overall staff in team-based environment
