In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.
Job Description
MSK is currently seeking a Salesforce Principal Architect to join the Digital Solutions team within the technology organization. You will be a key player in driving MSK's digital transformation efforts leveraging Salesforce to promote enhanced application experiences and support the expansion of both clinical and non-clinical programs. You will manage architecture and technical design for all the Salesforce Health Cloud and Marketing Cloud technology solutions and assist in the development of actionable strategies that are aligned with MSK priorities. The ideal candidate will have enabled multiple business processes and designed working solutions in support of various business needs. This role will have a strong focus leading teams in understanding the link between business objectives and their contributions.
You will:
- Be accountable for the architecture of Salesforce platform capabilities enabled for users across the institution
- Advise leadership on needs and standards to sustain health, performance, and reliability of the Salesforce platform weighed against both industry and enterprise expectations
- Incorporate roadmap initiatives into architecture team's ongoing work, including but not limited to enterprise solution delivery, platform audits and technical debt
- Work with product owners, enterprise architects and implementation resources, grooming user stories and leading the architecture team in story pointing and writing of technical / non-functional user stories
- Lead the architecture team in technical design and ongoing review of solutions, ensuring shared components across similar functionality and applications and promoting enterprise guidelines and standards in proposed solutions
- Work with architecture team on design of integration with multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise
- Interact regularly with cross-functional delivery partners and/or department leaders to help deliver committed PI objectives
- Review, advise and approve architecture solutions considering system options, risks, cost benefit, and compliance
- Ensure proper documentation of architecture designs and that documentation is kept current.
- Manage the architecture governance process
You have:
- Minimum 8 years of Salesforce experience
- At least two Salesforce architecture certifications (e.g., System, Integration, or Application)
- Experience with Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Einstein (Tableau CRM)
- Strong customer focus (both internal & external)
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Experience leading architecture teams
- Experience influencing leaders across different functional teams in order to establish credibility and drive decisions
- Hands-on Lightning Development experience in Salesforce configurations, Apex classes, Apex Triggers, Apex Web services, SOQL & SOSL, APIs, Flows.
- Practical knowledge of Aura & Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript and JQuery
- Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications via real time (REST/SOAP APIs), batch processes and platform events
- Agile experience a must. SAFe experience a plus
- Experience with CTI integration, and JIT user provisioning a plus
