Supervise and direct efforts to ensure Lean Transformation initiatives are developed and managed with a data-driven focus, setting project priorities aligned with ongoing strategic imperatives. Leads a team of Industrial Engineers that will dive deep to understand the current processes, utilizing extensive data analysis, statistical methods, and Lean/Six Sigma concepts to understand root causes and provide recommendations for future state design. Collaborates with department leadership to develop project charters, plans/timelines, and allocate appropriate resources to ensure enhancement of the organization?s core functions.
Responsibilities:

Leads, coaches, and mentors engineers throughout the Lean Transformation team to ensure quality deliverables, set clear direction, and strategic and problem-solving execution throughout projects
Create a productive and engaging environment for associates, ensuring that discussions are structured, focused, and lead to actionable outcomes.
Manage and coordinate Lean projects, workshops, Rapid Improvement Events (RIE), Kaizens, meetings and team discussions.
Sets expectations for key stakeholders to ensure they are informed of project progress and outcomes
Technical subject matter expert on standard industrial engineering activities, statistical methods, and analytics
Transform root cause analysis into actionable items that drive improvement throughout the organization
Oversees key performance indicators and quality metrics at all levels of management and leadership, and bridges gaps between current and future state on process improvement efforts
Develops trusting and positive relationships with all customers, associates, executives, physicians, vendors, and visitors.
Presents across all levels of the organization in a strong and compelling manner to lead key stakeholders
Oversees a team throughout operational improvement activities with associates in a healthcare setting
Leads research on market trends in healthcare industry to identify emerging opportunities for growth
Effectively trains others in indutry standard VSM, LSM, 5S, SMED, 7 Wastes, 3P problem solving and action planning
Serves as an advisor/consultant to executive leadership
Participates in special projects and performs other job duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Health Systems Engineering from an ABET-accredited university required
Master?s Degree in an applicable field preferred
Experience
5 years of progressive leadership experience preferred
Expert with Lean-Six Sigma tools and methodologies
Display fully evolved project management and change management skills with an emphasis on communication and building relationships across multiple large-scale projects throughout their life cycle
Demonstrated analytical thinker with strong interpersonal skills, with a proven capability in driving results by organizing and influencing cross-functional engagement
Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the ability to filter and distill relevant information to the appropriate audience
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Lean Black Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt required
